This dual energy source is a non-invasive approach to permanent hair removal. Controlled pulses of light and radio frequency penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the hair follicles. The energy damages or destroys the potential for re-growth in the follicle without damaging the surrounding tissue. Hair grows in cycles of three stages. The laser affects hair follicles when they’re in the third stage - the growth phase – on the skin’s surface. Because the three stages of the hair growth cycle are staggered, a series of treatments is needed to destroy hair follicles that enter the growth phase at a later time.
